Free COVID Supplies Available for Tribal Members
In order to better combat the COVID-19 pandemic, Cow Creek Tribal members and employees of the Cow Creek Tribal Government Office may request COVID supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE) free of charge.
Cow Creek Public Health will provide the supplies through an online order form, available here. Each Cow Creek Tribal adult (age 18 and older) may place one order for COVID supplies and PPE and each Cow Creek Government employee may also make one order.
Supplies available include:
- COVID-19 at-home test kits (two test kits per box, four tests total per order)
- Pulse oximeter
- Thermometer
- N95 masks (one box of 20 masks)
- KN95 masks (one box of 20 masks)
- Adult medical-style masks (one box of 50 masks)
- Kid medical-style masks (one box of 50 masks)
- Disposable gloves available in chosen size (one box of 100 gloves)
- Hand sanitizer (two bottles)
Orders will ship to each recipient promptly, within three to five days.
The supplies are intended to help prevent infection and the spread of COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses. With the high-degree of contagiousness of the Omicron variant, quality personal protective equipment such as N95 masks or KN95 masks are increasingly important. Health experts recommend upgrading from cloth masks to surgical masks or N95-style masks to prevent spread of disease.
Pulse oximeters are also a handy tool for those weathering COVID at home. A pulse oximeter is able to gauge blood-oxygen levels, which can decline with the onset of COVID infection and symptoms. Pulse oximeters do not diagnose COVID-19. Contact your healthcare provider about when to go to the hospital based on readings from your pulse oximeter, or if you are experiencing difficulty breathing.
In addition to the COVID-19 at-home tests available through Cow Creek Public Health, each household may order up to four COVID-19 at-home tests from the federal government.
If you have questions about the supplies, or about COVID-19, call (541) 677-5535 to speak with the Cow Creek Public Health team.
