Higher Limits Lead to Increase in Applications for Wìli Assistance

Due to an increase in the amount of assistance issued with two popular Wìli programs, wait times for applications to be processed are taking longer than usual.

Recently, Wìli announced that limits for both the Down Payment Assistance and the Home Repair Assistance programs had increased to $15,000.

Because of the higher limits, more Tribal members have recently submitted applications for assistance. Under normal circumstances, most applications take at least two weeks to process, due to the required verification steps that must be taken. However, applications are now taking more than two weeks to process.

The staff at Wìli recommend all Tribal members submit their applications as soon as possible, and be patient throughout the process.
