Elkton and Cow Creek Culture partner for community education event

The Cow Creek Cultural Resources team is planning to participate in a community event coming up in August at the Elkton Community Education Center.

The event on Saturday, August 20 is open to the public, as well as Tribal members, and aimed at engaging with students, kids and teens during the summer holidays. It will tentatively be held from 11AM to 3PM.

Many of the details are still being organized, however, the Cow Creek Cultural Resources team is planning to host demonstrations on Tribal arts and crafts, games and traditions that are interactive and educational.

More details on the event will be posted online, in our Events Calendar, as well as on the Cow Creek Umpqua Official Facebook Group, as they become available.

The Elkton Community Education Center is located on the same grounds as Fort Umpqua and the Butterfly Pavilion, at 15850 State Highway 38 W, Elkton, OR 97436.
