Tribal Gardens Opens for Fruit Next Week
The Cow Creek Tribal Gardens, located near Canyonville, will open temporarily on specific days next week for Tribal members to pick fruit.
Tribal members are invited to pick fruit at the garden on Thursday, August 11 from 9AM-4PM, and Sunday, August 13 from 9AM-4PM. The garden is located just off the freeway at exit 101 on I-5, outside Canyonville.
Peaches, nectarines and plums will be ripe for picking. There is no cost for Tribal members to gather fruit.
The Tuú Yap’a Xumá Tribal Garden has been mostly closed since 2021, with occasional picking dates announced to Tribal members.
Additional dates may be announced later this summer.
