Transportation

Social Services Transportation Program staff are dedicated to providing professional, timely transportation to Tribal members in Douglas County and their households, while striving to meet the highest standards of service.

Service Availability

  • Tribal members, spouses of Tribal members, and the immediate households of Tribal members may utilize this service.
  • Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM (except in case of emergency).
  • Three passengers maximum (two if accommodating wheelchairs).
  • Vehicle is lift-equipped.
  • Service limited to Douglas county. Some exceptions for emergencies are allowed on a case-by-case basis.
  • Service is provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. Priority is given to Elders, those with disabilities, youth in grades 9-12, doctors visits, and emergencies.
  • Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Same-day service is available, but it is preferred that you schedule in advance.

  • Specify your need (such as grocery shopping, hospital emergency, doctor’s appointment, etc.)
  • Specify pickup time.

When Utilizing This Service:

  • Please conduct yourself in an appropriate way; there are procedures in place for removal of disruptive individuals.
  • Please be patient and considerate of our drivers and fellow passengers.
