Tribal Land Hunting Information

The Tribe manages land throughout the Umpqua Valley that allows Tribal members diverse hunting opportunities. Below is a list of the properties with land description and information of the different opportunities.

K-BAR Ranch: Elk Hunting Map

This 783 acre cattle ranch is located just north of Myrtle Creek off Dole Road. The area consist of steep rolling grass hills with patches of oak and Douglas fir trees. Motor vehicle travel is very limited, especially during the wet season. ATV use is allowed, although hunters must be prepared to hunt on foot.

Deadman/White Rock Area: Deer Hunting Map

The Deadman Creek and White Rock Reservation Lands is a total of 11,125 acres of forest mountain property located approximately 18 miles east of Myrtle Creek out South Myrtle Road that continues into the Deadman Creek drainage into the Tiller area. ATV use is allowed, hunters must be prepared to hunt on foot.

Lilja Ranch: Elk Hunting Map

This 252 acre ranch is located in the just north of Myrtle Creek. The area consist of medium grade open rolling hills. There is no motor vehicle access on property. ATV use is allowed, although hunters must be prepared to hunt on foot.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to buy an Oregon state hunting license for this tag?
No, Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians regulates all hunting activities on their lands.

Who can I take with me on my hunt?
The hunt is for Tribal members only. You must be enrolled in the Tribe to participate in the hunt.

Can I use this tag to hunt off Tribal land?
No, this tag is for designated land owned by the Tribe.
